Skin-Peel.com Peel Review and Giveaway

As some of you may know, I have been an esthetician for about 7 years now and have performed MANY professional peels on clients. This is one reason I was extremely excited to get my hands on a peel that was brand new to me – Skin-Peel.com. Let me just give you a quick run down on why skin peels are so amazing. All skin peels from glycolic, lactic, salicylic, TCA, and many more serve very similar purposes. Each peel may work a little bit differently strength and effect wise but they generally give you similar results – clean, clear, and glowing skin. What a skin peel does is sit on top of the skin and remove the outer most dead layer. Depending on the exact peel you get and the strength (percentage), the peels are able to go deep enough to help with superficial or deep wrinkles, hyperpigmentation (dark spots), acne, acne scarring, and so on.

I LOVE peels… I love getting them and I love giving them. Why? Because the end result is beautiful. Just watch out you don’t become addicted to them like me! Skin-Peel.com allowed me to test out any peel of my choice. Because I am an experienced peeler, I chose a peel that would give me more of a result than the lighter peels I have been doing. I chose to get  the TCA 20%. I actually documented my daily progress with how my skin was doing so I could share with you the effects… But, we will get to that in a bit.

First, I want to give you a little tip when performing these peels on yourself. A little trick I learned (the hard way) when performing peels is you want to ALWAYS protect your sensitive areas: eyes, nostrils, and lips. Before applying ANY peel to you skin – no matter the strength or brand – make sure to apply petroleum jelly, or Vaseline, to your sensitive areas. Don’t be afraid to apply too much because it is always better than the alternative result of burning yourself. Also, don’t forget to get into the corners of the mouth. One more trick is to have something handy to fan your face with after applying the peel. You WILL want this! Some of the lighter superficial peels don’t sting as much but if you are not used to the sensation, you will want something to cool you off. As for the medium to deeper peels, do not peel without a fan!

Now, on to my progress. And keep in mind I did get a stronger peel where you will always have peeling. Not all peels will cause peeling so make sure to read the descriptions on Skin-Peel.com.

Day 1: My skin stings a bit like it doesn’t know what just hit it! I have some redness in the cheek area and around my chin. But, overall it is glowing and looking good.

Day 2: It burns a bit like a sunburn would. I hopped in the shower and forgot about it for a moment… then the hot water hit my face. Just a little warning, warm water on a sunburn doesn’t feel too great, right? Think of this in the same way!

Day 3: There is no more burning or stinging at all. Now, my skin feels a bit tight (almost like I got a face lift!). So, I am guessing this is where the peeling might begin. I can feel areas around my chin that are more dry than most of the rest of my face – this is probably because that area is more sensitive and the skin is a little thinner.

Day 4: Oh WOW. My skin is tight and dry and I can’t feel that peeling time is coming. I have a little patch on my chin that has peeled already and the new skin looks and feels soooo good! I cannot wait for my entire face to be this baby smooth!

Day 5: Peeling… Peeling… Peeling

Day 6: More peeling… More peeling… More peeling

Day 7: The peeling seems to be just about gone and I have a little residual redness in my chin area but OH MY how smooth I feel. My skin is absolutely glowing!

Day 8: The redness has gone away! Maybe it just needed that extra day of heeling? With how great my skin looks and feels, I am really going to continue with a series of these bad boys.

Yep, there you have it. I am in love once again with another great product! Check Skin-Peel.com out and let me know what peel you think you might want to try!
